Monthly Musings May 2008
Hiya Tea Lovers! Hope the arrival of Spring is treating you well. A steady stream of samples of the latest Spring teas have been coming into the office, so it's quite an exciting time of year! I'm sipping on some excellent first flush Darjeeling- you can too! It's a nice, refreshing taste to start the day off with.
Last April was a fun tea-month, as I went to the annual Coffee and Tea Festival. There I got to meet TeaMuse contributor Elin Headrick, who came in from Chicago. Lindsey Goodwin and Chris Cason were also in the house. You can read Part II of Austin Tearooms written by Miss Vee in this month's Teamuse. Chris Cason, former Adagio member, now co-owner of Tavalon Tea in NYC, showed me these cuties- Tea Gummie Bears! You can find them in three different flavors: Blueberry Acai, White Tea Pomegranate, and Green Tea Spiced Peach. It's quite a cute and tasty way to get your tea fix, and I suspect children will love these little treats.
Other than a little R&R, I am looking very forward to May- why? World Tea Expo! I know last year I promised a recap of the trade-only exposition, and this year dear Teamuse readers, you will get one! WTE is being held in Las Vegas this year and it should be a great time. I hope to update you all with some special products to hit the tea industry. If you find yourself at the Expo, come by Adagio's booth and say hi!
Stay tuned for some new products from us as well on our website! Keep on sippin'!
Yours in tea, Christine
