Monthly Musings, October 2007
Hello Tea Lovers!
I am highly anticipating fall weather- the last week of September threw us quite a doozy, as temperatures crept up to the 90s. Thankfully, the barometer is dropping, and hot tea weather will be the norm. Apple picking dates and road trips to see the leaves change color is being planned. I look forward to making lots of stews and soups, and eating these warm comfort foods alongside a steaming cup of hot tea.
Speaking of cooking, we have made-over our TeaChef.com website. On the homepage, you will see a selection of our favorite recipes submitted by you, our customers, as well as this month's TeaChef TeaCast. Our TeaChef competition will also continue; keep an eye out for it while you're shopping out website! You will be able to add a sample free of charge with any order, or purchase one for $2.00. This new fee for non-customers, is to cover the shipping cost- please don't let the fee deter you! We always look forward to what new recipes our creative customer can come up with in the kitchen! Our selection this month is Green Anji, a beautiful and smooth Green tea.
While we are on this culinary note, I had a great opportunity to promote TeaChef.com and my developing cooking skills when asked to shoot a short segment on Cooking with Tea. It will be shown along with 14 other shorts about tea at an upcoming Chinese Tea Trade Show. We hope to get the short after the production company is done with it, and I will be more than happy to share it with all of you. Many thanks to Jacob and Michael at Greenpoint Pictures for giving me this great opportunity!
Look out for our holiday teas to show up on our website in a few weeks. A lot of you have been asking for them, and hopefully they will not disappoint. Try serving some mugs of Pumpkin Spice black flavored tea alongside cups of hot apple cider- this pairing is sure to be a hit. Enjoy!
Yours in Tea,
Christine/xine
